Dr. Avedis Donabedian was a family medicine physician who immigrated from Lebanon to the University of Michigan. He coined the phrase:

“Good structure, with good process, leads to consistent and reliable outcome.”

 Okay, he might not have exactly said that, but we know if we follow this model for accreditation and regulatory compliance, we might have better quality outcomes. To the patients, this would mean better care without incident. Furthermore, better finance by not getting government penalties or wasting resources managing adverse events or negative accreditation/regulatory decisions.
